Kahani: FLASH DRIVE ka Flash

Last Tuesday, I woke up in the early hours with a big question in mind - WHERE IS MY FLASH DRIVE.? This flash drive was given to me by my previous company as part of 'On boarding' session. Flash: On Sunday (2 days earlier) I had been to a cyber cafe (since there is no internet connection in my home) and I happened to use my flash drive while I was surfing. I returned home after surfing web for more than 2 hrs and I happily forgot about the flash drive. And now after 3 days, I woke up with this question "where is my pen drive?" @ 5.30 in the morning... I tried searching at home, since there was no power I couldn't find it anywhere.... And I sat there analyzing the whole episode, with a bunch of questions, more like a movie recap, while sleeping. 1. On which machine I was working? And what was the time? 2. How many people would have used the same machine for the next 2 days? 3. How many people used the USB port? 4. If anyone opened the drive, how about the document

Karmanye vadhikaraste in corporate context

In Devnagari: कर्मण्ये वाधिकारस्ते म फलेषु कदाचना कर्मफलेह्तुर भुरमा ते संगोस्त्वकर्मानी॥ च २, ४७ In English transliteration: Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachna Karmaphalehtur bhurma te sangostvakarmani. Ch. 2, 47 In English translation: You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action। Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty. I am wondering how this statement is applicable in modern corporate world.....if this piece of statement from GITA is implemented in corporate culture, then companies can save enourmous amount of money, effort and time spent on the appraisal process and meetings....and you can see lot of happy faces all around. Ohhh i do lot of day dreaming these days.....where am i going ?

Ethics and Morality......

Last week i was reading an article related to Ethics and Morality, and got some interesting insights. Before getting into these things let me explain what is Ethics and Morality, Morality define personal character, while ethics stress a social system in which those morals are applied. In other words, ethics point to standards or codes of behavior expected by the group to which the individual belongs. This could be national ethics, company ethics, professional ethics, or even family ethics. So while a person’s moral code is usually unchanging, the ethics he or she practices can be other-dependent. So Morality is quite personal but ethics is the behaviour expected by the group to which the individual belongs. When considering the difference between ethics and morals, it may be helpful to consider a criminal defense lawyer. Though the lawyer’s personal moral code likely finds murder immoral and reprehensible, ethics demand the accused client be defended as vigorously as possible, even whe

Interview kit

Have u guys ever heard about Interview kit? I will tell you how this concept came to my mind, as soon as I decided to quit my current job, I started applying for jobs and I started giving interviews. In my first interview, I reached the interview venue @ 9 AM, but they took my interview at around 4 PM in the evening and it was then I started to think about ‘Interview Kit’ During the waiting time, I was thirsty and wanted to have water, I had it, then I felt like having juice, for that I need go to cafeteria which would take 15 min and I was a little scared thinking that they might call my name for the interview. Finally I was not in a position to resist my feeling to have a juice, so I decided to go to the cafeteria, which was located on the 6th floor of that building after reaching over there, I felt hungry so I decided to have something along with juice. I was shocked after seeing the menu and the price, but then I was very hungry so I took two samosa’s and juice and while coming bac

Here i am and this is me (as per my zodiac sign Scorpio..)

Scorpio is the eighth Sign of the Zodiac, and you shouldn't take that lightly. You shouldn't take Scorpios lightly, either. Those born under this Sign are dead serious in their mission to learn about others. There's no fluff or chatter for Scorpios, either: these folks will zero in on the essential questions, gleaning the secrets that lie within. Scorpios concern themselves with beginnings and endings, and are unafraid of either; they also travel in a world which is black and white and has little use for gray. The curiosity of Scorpios is immeasurable, which may be why they are such adept investigators. These folks love to probe and know how to get to the bottom of things. The fact that they have a keen sense of intuition certainly helps. It's the Scorpion which symbolizes Scorpios, and it's no accident. Much like the Scorpion would rather kill itself than be killed, those born under this Sign are the ones who are in ultimate control of their destiny. It is life on

Trip to Mangalore to attend a marriage

Trip to Mangalore (Takkod, a place near mudbidri) to attend a friend marriage was very nice and awesome. Day 1: My trip started from Bangalore with a friend, we reached majestic at around 10 PM, and bus was at 11.30 so we had around one and half hour time to freak out, we did pet pooja very lightly in the mean time. 11.30 PM: as soon as our journey started, i inserted cotton plugs to my ears and wear a monkey cap along with my thick skinned jacket, will tell u the reason why the cotton plugs and the monkey cap that's just because to escape from my friend's generator like "SNORING". Will tell u in-detail about this later. 2.30 AM: Driver stopped the bus in mid-way and I did peep out to check why it stopped and I saw another bus punctured in front of us. So our bus driver generously helped them to fix the problem and then we started moving. But then my friend was having a sound sleep with heavy snoring as usual he was least disturbed :) 6.30 AM: Bus reached to Dharmast
